Basic Test on Hearthstone Card’s Value

Sometimes when you watch professional Hearthstone players talking about “value”, or “this card is valuable” and the like, you may be hard to understand what they mean, and how to judge a card is valuable or not.

The most obvious feature of Hearthstone’s entourage is its value. Any followers have three numbers, which are attack, blood volume and mana cost. The most important and prior factor determines a card’s value is that its value is worth the consumption. At the present, the typical feature is that the mana cost is 2:1.

For example, if a follower cost 3 mana, the card should at least have 6 numerical (regardless of life or attact) to meet the consumption. We usually call this “basic testing”. Because the card’s text is always ignored, its numerical is considered to be the basic (or basis) state.

If a follower pass the basic test, it is valuable for us, not vice versa. Those test cards that have passed the basic test by 2:1 ratio will be thought to be of high value, because they have more than average value under the same consumption. That’s why people always prefer Chillwind Yeti who have 9 numerical (4/5), but only cost 4 mana.
